LANA MAC

Lana Mac is a 17 year old singer-songwriter from North London. With a special love of jazz, Neo-soul and R&B, she takes her inspiration from artists such as Esperanza Spalding, SZA, Cleo Sol and Frank Ocean.

Growing up in a musical household and with a rich cultural heritage, combining Jamaican, Indian and Guyanese roots and influences, Lana’s passion for music started at the early age of 4. Studying music at school, she now plays piano, clarinet, and also the Bari sax. Her ambition is to make music her career as well as her passion and she’s hoping to study piano and vocals at a leading Conservatoire.

Her first single is “Fireplace”, which she made with her school friend, Ruhan, who produced the song. It immediately attracted attention after it was playlisted on Spotify’s ‘Our Generation’, ‘New Music Friday’, ‘Pop UK’, and then was also included in the H&M and Weekdays playlists.

With lyrics inspired by Lana’s life, navigating through her late teens and the emotions that come with it and music rich in jazz, R&B and neo-soul influences, Lana Music is a hugely exciting new talent to watch.
